Company is trying to keep my pto

So at the large warehouse I work at, there’s a point system for absences, no unexcused absences even if you have a doctors note or something. You get 4 violations and the 4th is termination. After the 90 day probationary period I got 5 days of vacation pay. The pto policy that employees have access to says that if you quit or get terminated you receive the pto payout. This company has treated me horribly, and if you give your two week notice they’ll fire you or give you shitty work/stop you from working, anything that’ll make it harder for you to transition to your next job. They write you up like 3 weeks after the actual absences happened, so you could have enough points to be fired but you get fired 3 weeks later, not the day you actually get enough points to be fired. They write you up like 3 weeks after the actual absences happened, so you could have enough points to be fired but you get fired 3 weeks later, not the day you actually get enough points to be fired. I was trying to schedule my vacation pay for the week I would start working my new job, without them knowing I’m leaving. The supervisor says he doesn’t have time to do it, when all it is is writing the dates on a calendar with a dry erase marker. No approval process or anything like that. This just pissed me off so I said “I quit effective immediately” after the end of my shift. I didn’t put anything in writing or sign the resignation later like he asked me to, and the he center said I was still an active employee like a week after I “quit”. So those days would’ve been unexcused absences, and I received a 4th violation write up sheet in the mail with the punishment box checked “discharge”. The local hr emailed me and is saying since I quit with no notice I’m not owed any pto. Can I just say I never quit, so they just fired me for not coming in?
