Compliance is the most stupid thing about employers

Rant: I f*cking HATE these people who make compliance rules. The only case where it makes sense to have compliance is to improve the product/service quality. When it is used as a tool for control, HATE it! I see it as a crime against employees, as these morons are limiting how their employees express themselves. I am talking about things like Dress Code and the management making other decisions about employees that doesn't impact work. I mean, it's not that my shirt, pants and shoes are doing the work. If so, I'll hand them to you and pay me in full. I am also not in a customer-facing role. Compliance is corporate term for obedience. Clearly, it's not about work, but control. It has got nothing to do with the quality of work done. And I HATE people who try to control me. Wish they burn in corporate equivalent of hell.
