I’m a Security guard (I don’t like cops I only joined security to keep people safe) and unfortunately I had to call the cops out because the client wants us to call them whenever there’s a car parked in a handicapped area that has no handicap symbol or whatever (I hate doing this but a job is a job). However my shift ended so I showed the third shift guy the car and he CONFIRMED there were no plaques or whatever. Then I went home. I got to work today and they are saying the cop said I wasted his time because APPARENTLY I was magically supposed to know that the driver was still cleared to park there (despite not having any handicapped things, I confirmed it three times with my coworker). I was just doing my job and some cop didn’t like that apparently. The cop literally told my supervisor to tell me to be more ‘mindful’ and ‘careful’. I hate this job. I hate how I have to call them out. You know what, next time I see something like this I’m not calling them because apparently I just waste their time.
Whatever. Maybe I should go be a janitor or something.
