I’ve been at my employer for a little over a year & am burnt out, I’m potentially scheduled to go on a FMLA leave of absence within the next few weeks for mental health reasons, I’m getting paperwork completed by a mental health counselor. It’s supposed to be for 12 weeks, now something else came up and has gotten worse over time, I think I have carpal tunnel. I thought at first it was a sprain but it’s getting worse, I went to an urgent care yesterday & they gave me a splint, painkiller & a referral to a family care dr for testing. I spoke with the same company that’s processing my loa paperwork & they said if approved for disability that’ll be my income while on leave & will need to be signed by a dr. They gave me long term disability paperwork, I don’t think id be approved for it but the pain can interfere with my job, I’m confused & plan to call hr tomorrow for clarification
