Did a job interview with a clothing company that to my knowledge is a casual clothing store however does sell suit pieces, I was wearing semi formal clothing just so I wasn’t too out of touch with the dress code or the vibe of the store. One of the questions the interviewer asked me was, “I’m assuming you read about our company and if you knew it was a suit store, why didn’t you come in with a suit ?” I blanked out And just said I didn’t want to over do it for this interview but in my head I’m thinking are you guys even known as a suit store ? he then goes on to tell me if I call you back for a second interviewer come in a suit ( which I don’t even have) and btw I was curious so I called another store location to ask them is this company onsidered a suit store ? And he said no we’re more casual but sell some things like suit pants jackets ect. I’m not mad about the situation but I just felt like the interviewer took a shot at me for not reading about the company better and sorta not liking what I’m wearing
