Coworker negotiated an increase to my workload

I’m a public school band director. I have 105 students and the coworker has about 45. He unilaterally decided he wants to expand our offerings to another grade and our superintendent helpfully added me to the list of people that will teach this new class. Without this class, I was already expecting to have 120-130 students next year. Unfortunately, I have already signed my contract. My anxiety is through the roof because my brain is well aware that I’m struggling to meet my current lesson load and failing my kids is completely unacceptable for me.
