So I work at a gas station which means I have to ID people for cigarettes and alcohol. My company is super strict and sends secret shoppers who are 20-39 to make sure you're IDing everyone. My boss has said under no circumstances to sell to anyone with an expired license no matter their age.
Cut to tonight when Karen walks in. She says she's a regular and knows the managers after she tells me the cigarettes she wants. I say ok, I still need your license. Curses at me and goes and gets it. Comes back in. It's expired when I scan the damn thing. I can't sell these to you your license is expired.
Cut to her screaming at me, calling me slurs, calling me names, threatening me and telling me “you job isn't that hard!”
Mind you I'm running on hardly any sleep, had to deal with someone actually threatening me with a gun earlier, and am at my limit of being screamed at today. I kick everyone out and lock the door to wait on a manager to take over for me. She is still yelling at me from her car and I snap back and yell Fuck you at the top of my lungs. Granted it wasn't the wittest but I snapped and have had enough of people.
So if you're that Karen, thank you don't ever come back again.
