I just started at a new job and company in May. I could go on and on about the toxicity there, including overworking employees and having very unrealistic expectations, threatening and scaring employees by managers, telling people why so and so was fired, very high turnover, gossip, pushover management that lets corporate make crazy unrealistic and unnerving rules due to their non understanding our our processes.
But yesterday, I sat at my coworkers desk who serves as the receptionist. We had had some issues with lots of flies and gnats recently. I wanted to eat a snack and asked him if the flies were still a problem. He said they come and go, and told me that, recently we have an issue with our doors being extremely hard to open. When the doors do open, they suck the air around and the ceiling tiles fly up out of their positions in the ceiling. We were having issues with the AC ducts leaking and the ceiling tiles getting soaked. So he said when the doors open, the ceiling tiles get sucked up, and then all the dead flies in the ceiling fall down all over him and into his hair. He was asked by his wife if he had lice but he told her no, it’s just the dead flies at his office job.
This is a billions of dollars company who is very profitable.
