The strike is really just starting to be affecting us at work now. We (my place of work, car part injection molding) are only running half-cavities because we are down to the partial jobs (not getting any new jobs either, with the strike) that are already almost done. We might not work next week. We aren't working overtime anymore, additionally. (Personally, that's fine with me. Desirable even. I've been working mandatory 7-days a week for nine months.)
Anyway, good job. Go strikers! You're starting to affect the fringe companies!
So keep it up! It won't be long now before the car companies start thinking about giving in, I think. They are talking about shutdowns and taking “volunteer layoffs” and not very happy at all. I'm in full support of you. Keep your heads high.
