My boss called me to tell me I was being demoted two levels this week. I had the highest performance review scores for Q1. I was promoted earlier this year, but they never backfilled my role and are now suffering for it. Everyone is so happy to have me back in the role because of how well I did in that position. I went along with the change and gave it my heartiest “team player” attitude response to the news.
What they don’t know if I’m giving my two weeks notice next week for a job that pays 60% more than my current role.
