So some background. I have worked at the deli of a local grocery store for about a year now. This particular deli is extremely busy during pretty much all hours of the day. I started working as a closer, working 10a-7p five days a week. About 2 months ago we got a new manager in our deli. Also around the same time our one cook quit with no notice. So seeing the opportunity I decided to ask if I could take on the cook role, working 6a-3p. The new manager agreed and I started being the cook regularly (5 days a week). I loved cooking and everyone said i did a great job. Then all of a sudden last week the manager came to me and told me a coworker had complained about me being “bossy”. For context anyone who knows me knows that I am not bossy at all. I hate telling people what to do. I was confused about the situation and tried to explain that if I sounded that way i didn't mean to be. However the manager decided that I wasn't going to be allowed to be the cook anymore as punishment and put me back on closing permanently. I don't understand at all what is going and im honestly pretty upset about it. Yearly evaluation is coming up soon too so I'm dreading that. Anyway, rant over
