Title is pretty self explanatory.
I applied for a position that would have gotten me a huge raise and given that some of the leads here do not care and don’t do anything I thought I had a decent shot at this, until today.
I was pulled aside for a follow up ab the interview and they told me that having a water bottle with me during the interview meant I wasn’t confident enough. I was also told that I needed to “manage my nervousness” even though both of these people know that I haven’t had access to my anxiety meds since June..
I feel so defeated. We have leads here that don’t do anything to help their team, yet I was denied for having a fucking water bottle. I don’t think I’m gonna try very hard at this job anymore.
