I am a recent masters graduate working as a paralegal. I have been assigned to one case, and the past few days have been mostly waiting for specific documents and information to come in and it has been slow.
This is an environment where everyone works late and is really stressed out. I feel like at this time I have it really easy, and I’m able to go through what I have to do thoroughly because I have endless time from 9-5.
Part of me thinks I should ask for more work…. Part of me thinks they specifically told me I am only to be working on this case right now, and that I don’t necessarily have to chase down work, as long as I do what I am asked to do well and timely.
Should I ask for work or enjoy a slow season?
