Do I work for a shitty company?

I am rarely on this subreddit, but decided to repost this to here. For background, I am a plant groundsman working at a decently sized asphalt company based around the Mid-Altlantic region of the United States. I've been here for 3 months as of August 2023. Something I've noticed about this company is that everybody has connections to one another, either their family, or close friends. There's groups of families that work at this company. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it leaves room for nepotism. They give such short notice on weekend work and will tell you on a Wednesday or a Friday to work Saturdays. They give such short notice on weekend work and will tell you on a Wednesday or a Friday to work Saturdays. As I'm posting this, Thanksgiving is around the corner and at the beginning of the week me and coworkers were discussing our plans, and I pointed out hypothetically if we needed to work on the weekend, but if I was out of town for the holiday weekend. My manager responded with “you should've used your vacation days then. That mentality needs to stop”.

Last but not least, every other employee seems to have the privilege of being idle in front of company cameras (these workers include plant operator, mechanics, lab technicians), while I am being singled out. I am unfairly blamed for lost/misplaced equipment despite said equipment being moved by somebody else.

Am I overreacting? Any advice will help.

Would like to mention their constant insurance surcharges. My basic insurance plan with the company is $31/week. It would be an automatic additional $30/week because you're labeled as a tobacco user (unless you tell the company that you aren't), and an additional $30/week if you don't sign up for a health and wellness app. That's $360 a month!
