Do people seriously complain about DD/uber drivers not delivering their food if they dont pre tip?

trigger warning: there will be a lot of anger in my post. This anger comes from sensing a class-level type of entitlement from some people (not necessarily on this subreddit but possibly) Uber's highway robbery model aside, https://imgur.com/a/PAKP7SW Now I'm glad uber is something I only do for fun when I'm bored, when I opened this job I got a good laugh. For 3 dollars and 43 cents, im expected to waste about 30 minutes of my time, and to destroy my car further for 7.2 miles, including wasting gas, tires, and everything else that comes with operating a motor vehicle, such as being on the road with shit drivers, intoxicated drivers, having to take the risk of getting into an accident, or robbed by being out late at night, to walk up to your shitty apartment and hand deliver you your food? Now I'm glad uber is something I only do for fun when I'm bored, when I opened this job I got a good laugh.

No sane person would consider this a fair deal. As a matter of fact, from what I've stated above, it becomes quite clear that I am paying my own money (and time) to service you at that rate.

Again, ubers obviously the shittiest party here, but I'm not going to do something like this for less than $10. If someone doesnt like that they can go cry about it.

Now to dispel a couple of bad arguments:

A: Its your job to deliver food!!

R: No, it's my job to deliver food that I want to deliver. How can I prove this? My evidence is all of the shitty orders that I decided to decline.

A: It's not fair to expect the tip up front

R: As someone who is working, I do not care if something is fair or not. The obligation is not on me to care. I care about being able to feel like the money that I have made for the work done is adequate. What is my evidence? I haven't cared yet, and nothing has happened.

I think these are the two main arguments I see. The responses should be sufficient.

How do I think that we can fix this model?

My cousin use to work at a pizza delivery place for a family friend. Not only did he get decent tips from his customers, but at the end of the night the owner would toss my cousin a $20 or $40 extra for his troubles, because he knows hes using his car and he's making bank selling $20 pizzas.

So if people stop using shitty apps like uber and doordash, they will run out of business and hopefully the greedy assholes at the top will lose a lot of money. If you dont want to go down that route, I'm not even asking you to tip your driver because I think that will be good too if they just quit, but at least have the decency to not complain when people dont want to pay out of their pocket to deliver mcdonalds to your apartment on the third floor
