Hi fellow artisans. I’m trying to help a friend fill a job opening. I feel like most of us in this sub aren’t actually ‘anti work’ but more so ‘anti whatever tf this job market is’. I feel like a lot of us would jump at the opportunity available here – so if the below sounds like something you’d be interested in, please dm me pics of your resume. I’m gna be intentionally vague here bc it’s actually a very serious thing & I may get yelled at for helping but I honestly think it’s more likely that said friend will finally find a good candidate. She’s been working with recruiters with not much luck – but I feel like maybe that’s because she’s more focused on her daily work than finding help. If you don’t like that I’m posting this, keep it movin pls xxo
Position is:
An assistant to a high level team member in a very successful & company in the financial sphere. From what I’ve heard of the owner/ceo/president whatever his title is – he’s the exact opposite of everything we write about in here. My friend really respects him. The entire team is super smart, super friendly, super successful & just cool people. Like all the stories I’ve heard make them sound like ppl you’d want as friends. My friend is mostly wfh, goes in once a week, sometimes 2, so this would most likely be your routine as well. She is big on wfh & she’d be your boss. Start date would prob be asap after a background check. She wants someone smart, a numbers person, if you don’t have much experience, that’s fine as long as you’re very eager to learn & a hard worker. She also imo needs you to be a chill person. Meaning just be self aware & honest & normal. Very self-sufficient & capable. Sarcasm & some humility prob a plus. Non ego-driven. Bonus if you don’t see the value in disingenuous small talk. Huge bonus if you’re the kind of person she’d love to go get a drink with after work – although I can guarantee it will never happen bc she doesn’t have time. My friend takes her work very seriously so you need to be able to go all-in with this role – but she’s also the type of person who’d never want to violate your off-time unless it was truly needed. I could be wrong on that one but hey only one way to find out! You’d need a finance degree, tax acct prob a plus. Open to all levels of experience bc pay will be based on how much help you can offer right off the bat. My friend is a very empathetic truly good human – if you get the job please understand she didn’t write any of this & don’t ever tell anyone this is how you found each other until you’ve been there long enough for it to be funny & not weird. Also pls don’t Keep following up with me after – I’m not a paid recruiter, I have my own probs & im jealous my shit degree can’t get me into this company. I promise I’ll read your resume & pass it on & follow up with her but she’s rly busy. Thanks! I hope you get it so I can be the hero 🙂
