So they say it's easier to get a job when you have one, yet if you work full time, your time to apply let alone interview is super limited. Not to mention some employers aren't very accommodating when it comes to you availability to interview. I've learned to dodge ones like that. Yet on the flipside, if you're unemployed, you have all the time to apply and interview, yet some employers won't hire you BECAUSE you're unemployed.
That said, I've been at the same company for 6 years and definitely need a better job. Last year, I was interviewing with many companies only to get rejected or even ghosted. This was even making it to the 2nd and 3rd round interviews. I eventually got burnt out from it.
A lot of times I get burnt out from my job, which is business development for an IT company, which is basically cold calling. Even though I've done better and made slightly more money than previous years, it's not been life changing. Anyways, by the time I get off work, I get so exhausted and drained. While it is my fault, I feel like juggling between working full time, working out, going out and relaxing, finding the energy to apply and interview for jobs in my spare time is challenging. I need to do better and be more disciplined but does anyone else struggle with this?
