Does my supervisor need to be at work for me to put my 2 weeks in?

I’ve been going through the interviewing process with this company for about a month now and today they finally sent me an offer and I have till the end of day to accept it. I’ve been telling them all I require is that I can put my 2 weeks in and I can start right after that. The offer came through very early this morning and I just finished reading it and am ready to sign it. My only issue is that neither my direct supervisor, nor her manager are in today. My supervisor is on vacation and won’t be back until Monday, my manager simply does not work Fridays because he works Sundays. My supervisor is on vacation and won’t be back until Monday, my manager simply does not work Fridays because he works Sundays.

I would just put my 2 weeks in on Monday if it wasn’t for the fact that I will be working from home and won’t be present at work that day.

Does my employee need to be present for me to put my 2 weeks in? Would sending it via email be acceptable? This is the first time I’m quitting a job and I want to leave on professional terms. I know I’m not REQUIRED to put a 2 weeks in but I do want to be able to return to this company if things go sour somewhere down the line. Any advice is helpful, thank you.
