I was asked for a summary: Some of these are obviously good advice, but some may get people in trouble.

Video by Renegade Cut. In it, he discusses things such as:

  1. How to handle things when your boss demands you take on new tasks (point out that this will require overtime for more pay, dropping other tasks, or a drop in quality. For example, if you are told there is a “development opportunity” which is an added project you should demand more pay or that other projects be dropped.
  2. If your boss blames somebody above them, say you need to speak to that person. Thee person you speak to will not sympathize with you, but your boss doesn't want you to even talk to them because it shows they are losing control, so the threat to do so is useful.
  3. Don't go to HR. They are there to protect the company.
  4. Stay off the grid. Use your own phone and services.
  5. Get friends that will cover for you.
  6. Form a union if there isn't one.
  7. Always look for better work with higher pay.
  8. Cover your butt: Document everything. Including successes as it helps to add to the case for a raise. (Not mentioned in the video but I might recommend e-mailing yourself so that you have a time recording of when events happen that you can't edit, provided you use your own e-mail account).
  9. Attitude tips for avoiding emotional manipulation.
  10. Actively discuss pay with your fellow employees.
