Got fired for calling out twice this month even though I was contagious one of those times and both were covered by sick time.
If you don’t work at Lowe’s your doing something right, you have to be friends with management or be super ultra good at your job for the right people to notice for you to advance upward. They only care about you if you make them money. If you don’t convince people to sign up for credit cards, installations, or get above an 8/10 on customer reviews then you mean nothing to the company regardless of how good you are at your job. God forbid you work on mst or work overnight, it’s like you don’t exist until someone needs a scape goat. We’re all replaceable and you can get fired for talking about your pay, missing work for legit medical stuff, or “failing to perform” because you were helping someone. It’s a grimy company with more than enough bad eggs in high places. Every year I reviewed the company poorly and commented that they need to actually train people and hire nicer ones on the best survey. I hope the company dies and all the people with no accountability learn that they suck.
