I work at a sandwich shop, and we get one free sandwich per shift. Our boss has told us that we need to clock out before making our sub, and it certainly sounds like it could be considered wage theft. At the same time, it's not required for them to give us a free sub either, so I'm not sure if it would count. Even if it's legal, it still feels scummy though.
