This afternoon my companies HR called me to tell me they can no longer provide me hours at my current job site, starting Monday, but offered me 2 positions 1, and 2 hours away respectively. They also offered me a per diem position but can’t guarantee work.
I am currently full time. I have to give a decision tomorrow and I’m trying to find the best possible way to say “you’re going to have to fire me or lay me off.” What should I do?
Employee handbook states “Employees can be moved by employer to another job site within their region without notice.”
I believe the offered sites are out of my region. This is in New York.
