We have a system where we evaluate ourselves, then our boss evaluates us after. Usually it’s done because the month ends. Our evaluations were supposed to happen in May.
Today, I got very sick on my way to work and spent the day between appointments and being sick. I kept my boss informed the whole time. Then my doctor informed me I’m contagious and to take the rest of the week easy at home.
I told my boss immediately and asked him if I could work from home or if he wanted me to call. I knew the answer: he wanted me to call in.
He sends me a message later and let’s me know to send my evaluation confirmation to him, that it was due this week. On top of the hostility occurring in my department, I feel so hopeless.
