Even a certain fruit company treats their employees like the rest of the companies out there

For some context, I used to work for a certain fruit company and my fiancee has currently worked there for the past three years. At the end of last year and part of the beginning they preached how they wouldn't lay off people and just do a hiring freeze while there was a pay cut for some of the higher ups. A few months into this year they started to crack down more on some stores trying to form a union (they did push a bit at my fiancees location to squish it and scare the employees). At the beginning of the summer they started to lay off and fire people for little to no reason, you call out? have to leave early due to being sick? You're gone. Fast forward to this month now. My Fiancee and her coworkers were just notified all FT & PT workers must change…

Fast forward to this month now. My Fiancee and her coworkers were just notified all FT & PT workers must change their availability to fully open by the end of the work day tomorrow or they can quit, We're in at-will state so its pretty much open it up or find a new job.

I had some hope that there was some good companies out there and understand how the world is going for everyone but damn its like no one can get a break.
