She sent one of her many ALL CAPS angry group texts bc someone tried to submit a R/O after she told us not to do that (she’s told us like 10 times since the month began.. idk the outcome of that persons request, but I’m curious to know if he/she exposed this dumbass “rule” as the authoritarian trick it seems to be.
I’m guessing that if one were to go through the proper procedures they might get their request granted. The request is approved/denied by HR, cutting the restaurant manager completely out of the decision making. I feel like this is her way of trying to get control over us, something she craves & abuses on the daily. Fat bitch.
But you know what, I only work 24 hours a week @3 days(mornings) with a set schedule; unlike everyone else whose schedule changes week to week, never knowing if they’re gonna get the shit end by closing one night then opening the next morning. I sympathize with certain ones, especially those w/ children. So yeah, that’s why I don’t “just quit if you’re not happy.” at least they are accommodating with my school schedule, & they pay surprisingly well for the industry.. first restaurant I ever worked at where the back of the house gets tipped. Not only that, they make significantly more than the front.
