UK here. My work hours are 9:30-5:30, got a promotion within my company and with a new team now who have specified the working hours but never once have stuck to them? Contacted 35 hours a week hybrid working with 1 hour lunch.
Every.Single.Day I’ll work to 6/6:30 because my colleague fail to get back to me on work. That’s an extra 30 mins to 1 hour everyday. Once you work that out 5 days a week and almost 52 weeks per year that works out about a month or more unpaid extra hours! Why the hell are people so comfortable giving up their free time?
If I speak up I’ll most likely be perceived as not a team player etc and I don’t want to be a prick. Is this normal now?
