Don't get me wrong, I went to college for 4+ years, just never graduated due to extenuating life circumstances. But I have spent numerous years in a variety of positions, moving laterally, moving up, skipping positions by leaps and bounds due to on-the-job experience. I have a huge issue with companies that insist upon a degree rather than accepting life/work experience for that same role. If they'd rather hire someone straight out of college into a position rather than a weather-beaten veteran who knows the ins and outs of that position or industry, they may as well expect its going to cost them in the end. Rant over.
