I’ve gotten so many of them due to my desperate mass applying on multiple job sites for something in my field. I never hear back from anyone except an insta-rejection. And the one time I get excited because they want an interview I really look into it and ask my experienced friends/family if it’s legit and upon further scrutiny, they aren’t. Some of these emails are damn sophisticated and look so real too!! They always want you to respond immediately to trick you and panic you. They are banking on someone exactly like me who is so desperate to find a job in their field. It’s cruel. It’s disgusting. Fuck scammers and fuck Indeed, LinkedIn and the rest. They probably sell my data. This whole job search thing itself is a bunch of bullshit. No humans involved in probably any of it; just bots auto rejecting me. It doesn’t make me feel confident about my qualifications and portfolio. Only scammers want me. So discouraging.
