So I work for a small company. I decided to ask for the 5th and 6th off in September. He looks at the calendar and says, oh those are the two days after Labor Day. Which I replied with “yes” and he said well company policy is is you take days off before or after a holiday that he’ll take another vacation day from us. Then he was shocked when I said nvm I didn’t want the days. “You have 6 days left, so this would leave you 3 you’ll be fine!” And I just said nah I’m good.
Has anybody ever heard of this before? Am I crazy or ignorant to how the world works.
