Fellow Colleague found out I make more money per hour.

So recently at work, I discovered that another colleague found out I make more per hour, when they have been there alot longer than me. I didn't tell this person directly, and they found out through indirect means. Now I'm hearing that they feel undervalued, and I'm afraid I've created an unnecessary rift in the workplace and caused trouble for store management. The wage I'm being paid is the wage I negotiated during my interview, so I don't feel guilty about that, but I do feel guilty for putting my manager in an awkward spot. I didn't mean for things to turn out like this, and the job so far has been pretty good to me. Where I live, discussing wages is a protected act, but I have no idea how they came to learn this information, as I sure as shit didn't tell them. I guess what I'm asking…

I guess what I'm asking is “can this blow back on me?” I can't control how this person reacts to this information…
