Hi all – would really appreciate some feedback. For some context, my final day of work is 31st Oct – landed a new job from home which im excited to start!
I work as a mortgage consultant, and my final day was arranged for the 31st. We are a small team – 3 mortgage consultants including myself are here plus my boss who is busy.
For the past week – my two colleagues have been off, meaning I am the only one left here. I am been taking on enquiries but as expected, my heart is not in the job at all. I am not on commission, so have no motivation to proceed with them enquiries. My colleagues are back tomorrow, so 3 working days left.
When speaking to my boss, he’s just said to proceed as normal until my final day. Although I haven’t thrown up a fuss about this, my mind really isn’t at submitting mortgage applications, customer service and compliance at the moment. And whereas I am still treating them very fairly and answering the phone – I’ve just come to the end of it all and want to leave.
Does anyone agree that I should just stop trying? My work are nice but have no business management skills sometimes, the 2 colleagues off at the same time speaks for itself. I feel it’s better to pass it across to a broker who actually wants the work and I’ll focus on leaving everything behind admin wise in my last few days.
