I lost my job at the end of January this year and it took me 6 months to find a new one. The job I have now is amazing! Great hours, decent pay, not too much stress, and good coworkers.
Things haven't been going great for the company for a while, but it wasn't dire until now. My boss (the owner) let me know today that if we can't get the rent paid this month then he will just have to cut everyone checks and send them on their way.
Obviously I've immediately started job searching but I am so scared it will take me another six months to find employment. Last time, I was incredibly fortunate to receive a decent inheritance check that was able to help me pay for some of my expenses. I don't have that now and I am feeling so anxious and scared for the future.
