Been here a long time and have read many a horror stories and I just gotta say do not settle for a workplace that treats you like garbage.
In a few hours I go in for surgery and have a second surgery in 2 weeks. I am going to miss three weeks of work. My job is protecting my position and paying me while I am out to recover. They do not have to do this. I am not using PTO they are taking care of me because I thankfully found an employer that actually cares about its employees.
Do not settle for less. You are worth more. Hope all of you find wonderful places to work and thrive!
