I recently (Sept 25) started working for Papa Inc as a remote customer service agent. I have to work remote since I have seizures and cannot drive.
It was already a bad fit, since the trainers were constantly referencing circumstances when people were fired, and being condescending (“Like I just said…” “if you were listening” after questions were asked). This is a company that is supposed to be about companionship and compassion, lol.
Anyway, the day I submitted my ada paperwork, I needed electrical work done on my home that lasted 4 hours. I informed them of it a week before. Later that evening I tried to login to catch up, and I was locked out. Well, I knew then.
They refused to give me a reason but the staffing agency said that I missed crucial information and that I didn't wait long enough for the trainers to find an alternative such as going to the library. Lol, we deal with HIPAA information and the wifi at the library isn't fast enough which is why one of the requirements Is a direct ethernet connection.
Anyway without making this longer, the staffing agency informed me that they hadn't received my ada paperwork yet. However they knew because I told them I would be submitting it. All this supposedly over 4 hours of missed work, so that my home would continue to have electricity, now I'm unemployed again.
Assholes.
