Hello guys. I'm pretty new to this community, and I just wanted to share a small anecdote with you all. I started my job as a baker for Panera Bread on the 15th of September, and was told I'd undergo a mandatory four weeks of training. I thought I was performing pretty well, was always on time and genuinely tried my hardest there. About two days ago (before my training was even completed), I clock in five minutes early, and my district manager tells me she needs to talk to me. She sits me down and tells me that I “wasn't where I was supposed to be” and that I wasn't a good fit for the job. I felt very surprised and confused, why should I be fired? I had shown up to all my shifts, always worked my hardest, and I felt comfortable and that I was doing well. This is the first time I've ever been let go from a job in my life. Felt pretty confused and saddened by the whole thing. Now, I'm not even sure if this story even matters or carries any real weight, but I just wanted to tell what I experienced. Is there some underlying factor that I'm not being told? Just felt out of left field for me. I never even once got a complaint from my manager, or ANYBODY for that matter. Does anyone have similar experience to this, or someone can help give me some background for the reasoning behind this?
