i (23 F) recently started working at the wegman’s corporate office training for the pharmacy call center position and recently lost my job because i would occasionally steal food from the cafeteria bc i can’t afford to eat there.
i’m not proud of it but since my grandfather suffered a horrendous injury it set back my family financially so i resorted stealing to food from the wegman’s corporate cafeteria when i figured i couldn’t afford to eat there everyday. when i came to the attention to the higher ups, i offered to recoup the losses they still fired me saying they would treat a store employee the same.
part of me feels stupid another part of me feels angry that corporations don’t have a shred of empathy for their employees. that being said fuck danny wegman’s.
