I made a post about 2 weeks ago regarding how my Department Head called me out in a practically company wide email. He tagged everyone important. The TLDR is DH called me out for not following a policy that was only implemented 2 weeks after I completed the job. And his email pretty much implied my subpar quality of work will cause us to lose an important client.
Although my Director Supervisors immediately backed me up and handled the situation, I was still feeling bitter about the whole thing. I take great pride in my work. I eventually sent an email to DH asking him to address in the email chain that I didn't do anything wrong and got no response. So I made a post about it after a week.
I was just gonna let it go after the email, but the response I got from this community empowered me to keep pushing it. It took a bit, but DH did acknowledge my concerns. (Though he claimed he never received my first email or my follow up email) I ended up reaching out to him via my Company Chat.
He not only apologized to me, but sent out a correction email within minutes of our conversation, praising my work quality.
A happy ending all around. I'm feeling proud for standing up for myself. Thanks for the support everyone. I don't think I would have continued to push it if not for you guys. Know your worth and defend your worth!
