I work at an org that claims to have high ethics. I am currently one of the top performers, but during performance reviews, somehow the boss who fancies boys always find fault with me (F). Her favorite tactic is twisting my words, gaslighting, or finding the smallest mistakes in my project while the boys go scat free. She can't find faults with the technicalities, so I guess she's going after the petty stuff. (Just to clarify, she hates us girls equally and favors the boys). So basically in the eyes of the director and the other bosses, I'm the performer with a lot of “but's” (she's good but…).
So I decided to clear things up with the director. However, the director is more inclined to believe the boss than me. I even decided to take this up to HR but the same thing happened. To make things worse, the director now thinks all I want to do is complain about the sexist boss. I know some of the girls raised the issue, and I thought if more people tell the same sentiment that they would believe us.
The pay is really good and most of my officemates are my friends except for the boss, and I'd really hate to leave. But I can't bare stay with bosses who already made up their minds about me complaining a lot when I'm just trying to stand up for myself.
I am currently out looking for a job and I cannot wait to send my resignation letter soon.
