Does anyone else feel like the more you apply for jobs, the ones that earn the least money are the ones with like, 5 interview rounds?!
I just said straight up this time, what’s the salary? It wasn’t advertised on the ad. No one would give me a straight answer for 6 hours so I just said, don’t worry I’m not making the effort to travel 1 hr each way for a chance at a job I don’t even know what the salary range is.
The HR person responded and told me it was $55k. I was like, yeah I won’t be attending I can see why you didn’t advertise it. For reference, this is Australian money so $55k aus is $37kish American. 5 days in the office and my rent alone is $15k a year.
It’s just above the poverty line and demand they work from office only? No thanks son, I’d rather whore myself.
