i just got hired as a pharmacy technician at CVS i haven’t started yet but i received my schedule for my first 2 weeks. The first week i’m scheduled 27.5 hours and the second week i’m scheduled 37.5 hours. These are not including my break so really it’s 30 hours and 40 hours of my time.
during my interview it was agreed that i would be coming on as a full time employee but a few days later the manager messaged me saying they only need part time now. I’m not stupid i obviously knew they were just doing this so they don’t have to give me benefits and at CVS full time benefits start at 30 hours. I’m 21 and i moved back home recently, i figured i don’t really need to be working full time right now so i accepted anyway.
idc if they wanna have me on part time so that they don’t have to give me benefits but i’m not okay with being disrespected and used like this. How should i go about addressing this without coming off as difficult. I’ve had to quit 3 jobs in the past 2 years bc my coworkers hated and sabotaged me for standing up for myself against unfair situations and i just can’t deal with having to be the “difficult” employee that managers hate again.
