So I used to go 8 miles to work every day to a wealthier city because the area I lived in wasn't hiring and couldn't really afford to hire anymore workers at the time and the amount of bougie ass rich entitled fucking dicks that would insult me just for trying to DRINK WATER after seeing me LITERALLY SPRINTING to make sure everyone was taken care of all at once clearly seeing me over whelmed and stressed. The wild part is after 6 years of working my ass off at that same place they fired me because “I wasn't putting in as much I was getting paid” ($8.50(2016)(cross trained employee)—>$16(2022)(assistant manager) an hour) basically meaning they fired me because THEY WERE FUCKING PAYING ME TOO MUCH IN THEIR EYES. They didn't demote me because they didn't want to ruin their own policy of “oh every month you work here you get a 10¢ cent to 12¢ cent raise”. Fuck corporate restaurants for what they put their workers through and fuck upper class fuckers that think we even get a percentage of what we're worth.
