Had a meeting with my manager and HR yesterday and they said that someone complained about my service dog barking and that it’s a distraction to the office. Keep in mind he let out one singular bark once and I told him to stop and he did. Hes not a robot, mistakes are made but he listened right away.
I was told my two options are to either a. Take short term leave or b. Quit because he’s become a disruption. They fought me so hard when I originally requested him for reasonable accommodation a few months ago, I feel like they were just waiting for an opportunity to take that away from me.
This office has someone that blares music every day, people who make loud personal calls at their desks, the janitor vacuuming during work hours (when people are taking customer calls) yet that one bark is where they draw the line? Sorry just needed to vent.
