I have been out of work since March and finally had an interview scheduled with what seemed like a good company. First round was over Zoom with an HR rep and a woman would be my manager. It went great, they invite me to come in person for a second round. I come in, do the second round, and am asked to come back for a “final interview” with my would-be manager. Everything goes great imo, we get along and at the end she says “(woman from HR) will reach out with next steps.” About a week goes by and the HR rep emails me saying they finished their interviews and will make a decision. That was almost three weeks ago. I sent a follow-up to her email thanking her for being communicative, for the opportunity etc etc. I also sent a follow-follow-up once again this week thanking the team for inviting me to the facility and for taking me into consideration, the normal things I’ve been told to do when they’re thinking about who to hire. Every single person I met with made it seem like they liked me and that they were excited to work with me, and now it’s just been radio silence for over two 1/2 weeks. I’m not even upset that they didn’t hire me (I mean I am, I need a job lmao), it’s just pissing me off that instead of letting me know I didn’t get it they’re choosing to just ignore me and act like I never existed. Sorry if rants aren’t allowed, the whole thing is just sucky because I finally thought I would have a job. F corporations who just string people along.
