I tore my Achilles Tendon outside of work and was able to talk everyone out of taking me to hostpital but ended up going the next day. I went to urgent care to hopefully get a answer how fucked I am but they just came to the same conclusion I got from youtube. They told me to get a splint from the Hostpital and apply for emergency medical since I don’t have insurance as a 20m. I work construction and as a server at a restaurant which allows me to live pretty comfortably with my wife who is also a server. The Hostpital ended up giving me a shared room and made me wait forever to get an X-ray and a bandage splint. They never even gave me the. Pictures of the X-ray and never said how bad my tendon is. They kept focusing on my ankle and not my tendon. I belive they are leading Me on by saying I make have fractured my ankle a bit. I applied for medi-cal and found out I’m not eligible since I make to much which is barley 40k from two people in SoCal. How the fuck is that too much.
I’m reading things that i won’t be able to walk for a couple weeks or a couple of months or more. I don’t want to keep feeding doctors money just for. Them to give me shit answers and shit care. I have some money saved up but I can’t fathom using it all to just stay in a home. I was trying to buy my wife a new care since she’s stuck using a 93 subaru.
Can I apply for something to help or do I just have to deal with this and give up the little amount of my saved money?
