I’ve been busting my hump the last few weeks including late evenings and once past midnight… but i didn’t hear praise for the work ethic and how i was helping out/going above and beyond as it really wasn’t my job, wasn’t my problem, and management decided to only start designing and making tchotchkes the week before a deadline. I finally just ate my salad for lunch today that i took in tuesday because i was too busy fixing problems to take a lunch break… Was i told thanks? No, i was admonished for my lack of meeting deadlines for the other “project” I was pulled away from (which didnt have a deadline). Now i’m planning to say “sorry i’m not good at multitasking and i’m already currently working on something” instead of offering to help or letting people assign me extra work.
Next stop, “quiet quitting” as they say.
Edit: i’ve also been told that management is going to re evaluate my cleanliness, work ethic, and work quality in the next month and how this is a great opportunity for me!
