I got hired as a banquet server at a country club. Everything seemed very nice, the supervisor lady hired me and asked me to come for orientation. I went there and it was me and another 12 people. I understand though, the supervisor said she was building a new banquet team because her old staff decided to work at the new restaurant they have.
Banquet manager asked us to download Hot Schedules and he would send us the schedule. They acted like it was gonna be busy. Didn't receive anything and decided to text him. Apologized and said they had some cancelations. They do the schedule for 2 weeks. I went to check on the app and saw he scheduled a few on the new hires he liked I guess.
Yeah like why? Why hire so many people? Test who is good or not and dismiss them and then get scheduled?
