Got laid off because the boss hired a family member

I interviewed with this company at the beginning of August and it went really well. After the regular interview, they asked me to do a paid working interview. Immediate red flag in my head. I absolutely hate working interviews, as in most cases that I've heard of they were just used to take advantage of workers. I was struggling with finding work for a while, so I decided to give it a try. I got hired on and thought things were good, as I've heard good things from the boss about my preformance. Fast forward to a week ago, a person from my employer's family gets hired on and things get somewhat weird. I treat her just like everyone else, but she seems quite condescending towards me. She kept purposely mispronouncing my name, and making passive-agressive remarks about my work. It seemed like she was not even doing her work,…

Fast forward to a week ago, a person from my employer's family gets hired on and things get somewhat weird. I treat her just like everyone else, but she seems quite condescending towards me. She kept purposely mispronouncing my name, and making passive-agressive remarks about my work. It seemed like she was not even doing her work, as most of her shift she was away from the computer drinking Starbucks and looking at her phone, so it made me even more annoyed.

A couple days after, she came to work with her partner and it was announced that he will be working with us now. Ever since then, she hasn't said a word to me, not even a response to my “hello” when I enter the office. Two days later, I get pulled to the side and laid off due to “not being a good fit for the company”.

I have full certainty that I got fired because of her, just not sure if it's because she didn't like me and complained about me to the boss or if it was pre planned and I was just meant to fill the staffing gap before she comes in. Why is finding a proper job these days such a joke.
