Just as the title suggest, 2 days ago I got laid off by my current employer. No reason was given as to why I was fired. Also to my knowledge I am the only one who is fired as of now.
A little background:
This is a company of almost 40 employees. I was working as customer success manager till June of this year but start July, I was moved to a different role i.e Product Coordinater. I was incharge of a major automation upgrade for CS and sales team, which I finished last month. I was waiting for a new project and was coordinating with marketing to increase website traction until now and come Wednesday, i was laid off. No reason given as to why such a abrupt decision. Also, I was the first employee of the company. Fuck these start-ups.
P.S i worked for SA based start-up remotely from a third world country. Also, it's a coincidence or not that I was fired literally 2 days after the new customer success lead was hired in the US.
