I actually didn’t get rejected, I got ghosted. Because apparently that’s what they do these days… Not even the common courtesy of a send off email. This job was going to be a flexible, WFH setup. Same pay as my current job. The job description and duties were actually something I am interested in doing which I can’t say about my current job. I stupidly got my hopes up and saw myself being able to get away from my job. From all the toxic coworkers, rush hour traffic bs, pointless office politics. I didn’t think I would feel this dejected for not getting it. I hate my job even more now. My career dreams used to be to be more ambitious and now all I dream about is more work life balance and not working in an office anymore. Thanks for letting me rant.
