I've been on this job for 5 months, i'm a nurse (26m) working for cine industry, i'm with the construction team (for accidents/injuries/whatever) i haven't been doing much this whole time as a nurse cause nothing major has happened.
At the beggining of the production they were sharing their space with the art team, they wouldn't stop complaining how much they hated sharing their space and how annoying was having them Cross their work zone, they low key threatened me with phisical damage if i was just standing in their work zone, so naturally i just made the dinning room/Office my work zone (which is fucking above them, i see them and hear them from there, we are like 10 meters apart). Also when the guys were going out for the first time i was getting ready to go with them when the construction Boss told me: where you going? You can't go, everyone is going so the place would be empty, you hace to stay to watch over the construction site ….. AND HE MEANT IT, the fucking monkey was serious about leaving the NURSE watching over the place instead of being with the team, since my Boss told him that he is to choose where i'm needed i couldn't bring myself to argue back, which is Also one of the first things my actual Boss told me to do, don't argue with them.
What i do have been doing wich i now realise was a mistake is doing a lot of extras for the construction Boss, every time they were going to do a bbq i went to buy the drinks, food, whatever they needed, i've been doing personal assitant work cause he is unable yo even print a document, fixing the wifi etc, etc … I did his fucking groceries once, he told me to go shopping and i assumed It was for the guys, when i left the bags un the Office he went: oh no that's for my House. I helped him do the birthday gifts for a few Girls of other departaments Who work with him.
Last week i got a call from my Boss telling me that he and the construction team had complained to her that i don't do my job, that i don't Carry my nursing stuff when i got out with them (i always Carry my personal bag arround, not the one the company gave me Who dorsn't even have straps, i just put what they give me in my bag), that i don't take care of the team (like i don't bring the water and stuff when they're out) these motherfuckers go to 10 am religously everyday to have breakfast and a 2 pm to hace lunch no Matter how much work they have (usually to a bar where they can buy all the water bottles that they want), what they MEANT is that i don't pay for their shit wich is what they have been trying since day one, they have been guilting me into paying for their coffee and breakfast, mobbing me for not doing so and so on, they Also expect me to help them with their work (wich i did a few times, my mistake) like carryng Wood arround and doing heavy lifting, when i started to refuse (cause i'm a nurse not a fucking construccion worker) more guilting, mobbing and begrudging.
They waited for the last week of the project to complaing so now it feels pointless to quit, i'm just gonna do nothing for this whole week and leave by the end of my contract and never work on filming industry again.
I don't feel now all that hurt, but what kinda downs me is thinking, man u did his fucking groceries how dumb can i be, lesson learned, never do anything you're not getting paid for.
